On the other hand, there are some kids who might do better in a homeschooling environment because it allows them to learn at their own pace proactively.

So, I guess it all boils down to the individual student and what learning environment suits them best.

But when I see around research, I found most of the time homeschooled kids achieved more than 80 percentile scores (considering all. i,e., reading, math, social science, and other composites tests) whereas public schoolers scored around 60-70% on average.

However, as I said, we can’t blindly trust as there are tons of variables contributing. For instance, the individual attention he is getting, extracurricular activities he is doing, practical experiences and interactions he is having with people, social life outside school, and many more factors.

In short, we can say that if a student is getting the proper attention he deserves, be it in public or homeschooling, there are equal chances that he/she might excel in their academics.

Homeschoolers achieve higher GPAs, and have better academic, social, and practical skills than public schoolers in general! And if we talk about smartness, I would say it is more of a personal opinion. Some people might find homeschoolers to be smarter because of their unique abilities to learn independently and outside of the traditional school setting. Others may find public schoolers to be smarter because they are getting a well-rounded education. Ultimately, it all depends on the individual student and what learning environment suits them best.
